Gabor Maté, Julia Samuel and Mariel Buqué
The theme clearly struck a chord; nearly 2000 people signed up for our first online series about how the past lives on in you. That’s why we invited our three favorite international authors on this topic for a new series. The good news: all three accepted our invitation and are eager to guide you in understanding the impact of your past in the present! Gabor Maté (The Myth of Normal) will give a lecture on trauma, illness and healing. Julia Samuel (Every Family Has a Story) will teach you how to break family patterns, and Mariel Buqué (Break the Cycle) will help you understand intergenerational trauma..
Unravel Your History and Break Patterns
What have you inherited from your parents and ancestors? How does this affect you and your relationships with others? What do you want to carry forward, and what do you wish to leave behind?
You are part of a larger whole. As a human being, you were “thrown into the world,” as the philosopher Heidegger put it. You began your life within an ongoing history and amidst an existing family and culture. Questions about our relationship to this history have garnered increasing attention in recent years. How do family dynamics affect you, and how can you change them? How does trauma function, and how can you heal from it? What impact do traumas from earlier generations have on your life today?
By understanding how the past has shaped you, you can break free from patterns that hold you back and learn to experience greater flow and freedom. In this series, you will participate in three lectures with top international experts on how the past lives on in you and how to navigate it wisely.
